Melanye Reid was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she earned her Master’s in Forensic Psychology. Recently, Melanye passed the National Counselors Examination and is now a Licensed Professional Counselor. Melanye has always had a passion to assist others learn new things about themselves. She spent most of her College and Graduate School years coaching all-star cheerleaders from ages 2-18. Coaching cheerleading inspired Melanye to continue her “coaching” role in everyday lives. As a now Certified Life Coach, Melanye has added a coaching aspect to her role as a clinical case manager at a non-profit organization. She spends most of her work day providing resources to clients. Recently, Melanye started a new role as a mentor for high school aged young women. She has a consistent goal to implement training programs for CPS teachers while overseeing her mentoring programs.
